Place: Meet at 10 am at the Bocce Ball courts at the eastside entrance to Almaden Lake Park on Winfield Boulevard (at Almaden Lake Drive).
There is plenty of free parking along Winfield Boulevard near the entrance. Parking is also available in the parking lot for $6.
We will hike the Los Alamitos Creek trail, which is very popular with walkers and runners. Our route will lead us to a scenic footbridge spanning the creek where we’ll retrace our steps back to the starting point. It is a paved and mostly flat trail.
Directions: Take Hwy 85 to the Almaden Expressway exit. Proceed south about 1 mile to Coleman Road and turn left. Go ¼ mile to Winfield Boulevard and turn right. The park entrance and Bocce Ball courts are about ¼ mile on the right.
Lunch option: For those interested in lunch after the walk, we can go to BJ’s Restaurant located at the nearby Oakridge mall https://www.bjsrestaurants.com/locations/ca/san-jose.
