a.\u00a0 I noticed a Chatbot symbol on our Club’s home page. Is it safe to use?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes. The HPREC Chatbot is designed to help members quickly find general information about the Club, its activities, membership, and website content.<\/p>\n

The Chatbot does not<\/strong> have access to HPREC’s private membership database or individual member information. It cannot look up or disclose your membership record or other private member data.<\/p>\n

As a general precaution, you should not enter sensitive personal information, such as passwords, financial information, or other confidential information, when using the Chatbot.<\/p>\n

b.\u00a0 Is there a recommended way to phrase my question to get a successful answer?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes. Ask a clear and specific question, much as you would ask another HPREC member for help. You do not need to use special commands or keywords.<\/p>\n

For example, instead of asking:<\/p>\n

“What activities are there?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

try:
\n“What HPREC activities are scheduled for this month?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Or instead of:<\/p>\n

“Membership?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

ask:
\n“How do I renew my HPREC membership?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

If the first answer isn’t what you were looking for, try rephrasing the question or adding a little more detail.<\/p>\n

c.\u00a0 When did the Club start using this feature?<\/strong><\/p>\n

HPREC introduced the Chatbot in\u00a0May 2026<\/strong> as another way to help members find information about the Club on our website.<\/p>\n

We welcome suggestions for improving it. If you have comments or suggestions,\u00a0please use this\u00a0Contact HPREC<\/strong><\/a> link that also can be found on the HPREC home page.<\/p>\n

d.\u00a0 Can anyone on the Board see who is asking questions through the Chatbot?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Chatbot does not have access to HPREC’s membership database, so it does not identify a person asking a question by looking up HPREC member information.<\/p>\n

The Chatbot service does collect usage analytics. HPREC is not\u00a0<\/strong>currently reviewing or analyzing individual questions submitted by members<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, members should avoid including private or sensitive personal information in their questions.<\/p>\n

e.\u00a0 What if I cannot find the information I’m looking for?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Chatbot is intended to make it easier to find commonly requested HPREC information, but it may not be able to answer every question.<\/p>\n
