Shoreline Park from San Antonio Avenue Walk

As part of our new COVID-19 protocols, walkers must sign up on our NEW myHPREC website in advance and supply their emergency contact information electronically.  This is necessary to avoid close contact on the day of the walk and to make sure the maximum of number of walkers for each session is 30 (including the walk leader).

Meet at the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve Trailhead.  Take 101 to the San Antonio North exit off Hwy 101.  Follow San Antonio toward the bay until it ends at Terminal Boulevard.   Go right onto Terminal Boulevard and park.  We will meet near the bathrooms.  No carpooling.

Put “Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve Trail, Palo Alto, CA 94303” or “2698 Terminal Blvd, Palo Alto, CA 94303” in your GPS.

The walk will be quite flat on the levees.  It is wheelchair accessible, but the trail surface is a bit rough for wheelchairs.  We should see a variety of birds, including pelicans, avocets, egrets, ducks, grebes, and geese.  The weather may be breezy along the bay, so dress accordingly.

If you want to cancel your reservation/sign up:
Call or send an email message to the event leader and inform the leader of your cancellation. (leonaandjohn@att.net or call John McCabe at 650-328-3472)
