Meet at Palo Alto’s Enid W. Pearson Arastradero Preserve: 1530 Arastradero Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94304. No carpooling.
Directions: From Hwy 280, go southwest (toward the mountains) on Page Mill Road. Go 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Arastradero Road. Go 1.2 miles. The Enid W. Pearson Arastradero Preserve parking area is on your right. There are restrooms by the parking area.
We will hike the rolling hills, valleys, and grasslands of this foothill ranchland. The hike will include oak covered ridges and the Arastradero Lake. The lake is home to a variety of fish, reptiles and birds. Most of the walk will be through grassland savannas.
Expect the weather to be cool and breezy.
