Walk – Along San Francisquito Creek in Menlo Park
Meet at Meet at the Allied Arts parking lot in Menlo Park. Allied Arts’ address is 75 Arbor Road at Cambridge Avenue, Menlo Park, CA 94025. Where Cambridge Avenue dead ends at Arbor Road, you will see the entrance to the parking lot directly in front of you. Meet near the entrance to the parking lot.
Driving directions: Take El Camino toward the Stanford Shopping Center. Cambridge Avenue is the first traffic light north of where Sand Hill Road or Alma Street both end at El Camino. Follow Cambridge until it dead ends at the Allied Arts parking lot.
This walk is on a conveniently located, but little known, walking path that follows San Francisquito Creek as it winds behind the Vi Retirement Community, the Stanford West housing units, and the Oak Creek apartment complex. Much of the path will be shaded.
A surprise monument will be revealed near the end of the walk.
