Sunnyvale Community Services is an independent, nonprofit, emergency assistance agency. Their mission is to prevent homelessness and hunger for low-income families and seniors facing temporary crises. They provide financial aid, food and other support that prevents larger problems with more expensive solutions. You can help. On Friday, Oct 1, SCS needs five to six people at their Kifer Road location to pack around 150 bags of groceries for homeless clients.
Please note these important SCS COVID-19 Protocol Updates:
Sunnyvale Community Services requires proof of vaccination in order to volunteer on site. Upon check-in, you can either show SCS a paper copy of your vax record (Xerox copy or photo on your phone is accepted), or a digital copy which you can download here: https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/
Their building is still basically CLOSED to non-employees. The bathrooms are available(!); the kitchen and office areas are not. Please refrain from entering any other areas of the building where you are not assigned to work. Our apologies for this inconvenience.
Upon arrival, all volunteers will be required to fill out a COVID-19 health and safety checklist and visit the SCS no-touch temperature scanner; please note that face masks are required while on site. If you have had close contact with anyone that has a confirmed case of COVID-19 or with anyone who has been in isolation for COVID-19, please refrain from volunteering at this time.

Sunnyvale Community Services will be in .01 of a mile on your right. Please use street parking — lot is for client use only. |
