Meet at one of two places:
- Carpool* from our regular location at 1501 Page Mill Rd, Palo Alto at 9:30 am
- At Sawyer Camp Trail North, by Hillcrest Boulevard and Skyline Boulevard at 10 am
If you drive there directly, go north on Hwy 280, take the Millbrae Avenue exit (exit 40) and continue straight on Skyline Boulevard (north). Go left on Hillcrest, and park under Hwy 280 at the trailhead. Parking is limited, so please try to carpool.
We will do a different portion of the trail than what we last hiked. We will start at the north end of the trail, walk down to the San Andreas Lake (and the fault line), go down a shady trail between the creek and a hillside of bay trees, and go to the Jebson Laurel tree. Depending on how everyone feels, some or all of us may walk beyond the Jebson Laurel. In any case, we will eat our lunch at picnic tables by the Jebson Laurel tree and then walk back.
Sawyer Camp Trail is a great place to hike, rain or shine. The entire route is paved, so any recent rains are not a factor.
