As part of our new COVID-19 protocols, walkers must sign up on our NEW myHPREC website in advance and supply their emergency contact information electronically. This is necessary to avoid close contact on the day of the walk and to make sure the maximum of number of walkers for each session is 30 (including the walk leader).
Meet at the baseball diamond restrooms in Memorial Park in Cupertino. There are no carpools.
Park in the two-hour parking lot, which is the third lot behind (north of) the Cupertino Senior Center at 21251 Stevens Creek Blvd., Cupertino. The Senior Center is across from De Anza College at the corner of Mary Avenue and Stevens Creek Boulevard. Exit CA-85 and then go east on Stevens Creek Boulevard. After turning onto Mary Avenue from Stevens Creek Boulevard, take the first driveway on the right. Turn left at the first lot and drive toward the baseball diamond. Park in the two-hour lot and then walk north to the restrooms.
The walk uses neighborhood streets to reach Mary Avenue near the bridge. The walk continues across Interstate 280 to Homestead Road and back. The walk is all paved.
The ramp from Homestead Road to the bridge may be too steep for some wheelchairs.
