Rancho San Antonio Deer Hollow Farm Walk
As part of our new COVID-19 protocols, walkers must sign up on our NEW myHPREC website in advance and supply their emergency contact information electronically. This is necessary to avoid close contact on the day of the walk and to make sure the maximum of number of walkers for each session is 30 (including the walk leader).
Meet at the northwest (main) parking lot at Rancho San Antonio County Park. (There are no carpools.)
Exit I-280 at the Foothill Boulevard exit, proceed south, and turn right onto Cristo Rey Drive. Continue for about 1mile, veer right around a traffic circle, and turn left into the county park entrance. The main parking lot is located to the right and then down the hill. We will leave from the restroom area.
The route to Deer Hollow Farm is paved or has paved alternatives. Deer and turkeys should be plentiful. Spring flowers should be good. We will spend some time at Deer Hollow Farm and we expect to see some young animals. Expected duration of the walk is 1.5 hours.
