Volunteers Needed To Help With Science Fair
(Science background is not needed, except for judging)
You can to help make this year’s Synopsys Science & Technology Championship a success. About 1,000 students will participate in the fair, and there are many ways you can get involved. We need volunteers both days, so please join us if you can!
What: | County-wide regional science fair for students in grades 6-12 |
Where: | San Jose McEnery Convention Center, 435 S. Market St., South Hall, San Jose, CA 95113 |
When: | Wednesday, March 9, 2021: Student check-in and set-up (Lunch provided) 8 am – 11:30 am, 11:30 am – 6 pm (5 pm – 7:30 pm — only a few volunteers needed) Thursday, March 10, 2021: Judging |
What’s needed:
1, General volunteers
- Wednesday: Help students through the registration process, help them find their assigned space to set up their projects, run errands, etc.
- Thursday: Help register judges, monitor the hall during judging, etc.
- Tasks can be sitting, walking or standing. Indicate if you have a preference.
2. Judges: If you have a degree in science, technology, engineering or math and are interested in judging, go to https://science-fair.org/judges-3/ and the Category Judging Registration to register as a judge.
