We had NO inquiries to our recruitment article in the July issue for becoming a HPREC Board member, so we will NOT send a Ballot Sep 8.
We could always use the extra help, so if you change your mind, contact a Board member and inquire. We can always add you during the year.

At our regular Board meeting April 1, HPREC’s Board elected David Karwowski to position of Vice President. In his new role, David will be responsible for covering some of the President’s duties if the President is unavailable. David will be continuing as the Nominations Lead.  The Board will be evaluating and adjusting responsibilities over the next few months as we settle into the new leadership roles.

On behalf of the HPREC Board of Directors, it is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our long-term President Bernard Bruand on Friday March 6th after a brief illness. Bernard retired from HP after a long career in several countries supporting computer systems businesses. He has been a dedicated volunteer and supporter of HPREC, and served more than 10 years as our organization’s President. He is survived by his wife, Yoke Ping and two daughters (Corinne and Jocelyne) and their families. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
